Dear Friends, We write to
you to encourage you, to remind you
that you are in our thoughts, and
hopefully to minister to you from
what the Lord is speaking into our
hearts: Revelations 3:14-22
Carries one of the greatest warnings
and promises concerning these latter
times, the launching of a deceptive
and strategic operation of demonic
activity to keep the church from
living in complete dominion.
The Laodicean church had said
concerning themselves, “I am rich
and increased with goods, and have
need of nothing,” therefore they
settled into a comfort zone and
became “lukewarm.” If this
subtle, crafty and dangerous spirit
is not detected and dealt with, it
can and will bring great harm and
loss to the life of the Church or
the individual. This church was
warned and also given a promise, “to
him that overcometh will I grant to
sit with me in my throne, even as I
also overcame, and am set down with
my Father in his throne.” This
lukewarm, tepid church was lacking
in passion and force. They
were a church whose members had no
Godly drive, strength or zest; and
had become self-satisfied.
Enthusiasm for a holy and
supernatural atmosphere just wasn’t
there. Then how could they
now overcome anything? They were
instructed to repent.
Complacency had brought this church
to a place of wretchedness. As
described, they were miserable,
poor, blind and naked – and didn’t
even know it. As well as
repenting, the Holy Spirit said “I
counsel thee to buy of me.” In
other words take council from the
Holy Spirit, start paying the price
and go to praying if you want to
overcome this tepid, frail
lifestyle. If you buy
something then you have to pay the
price. Unless they would pay
the price and start interceding,
they were not going to overcome the
unleashing of this self satisfying
attitude of complacency.
Because of their lack of prayerful
combat, their present state was now
one of no power for resistance.
If they were going to overcome this
thing, then they must first repent.
We are told “the kingdom of
heaven suffereth violence and the
violent taketh it by force” and in
their lukewarm state, without first
repenting, they had no force to get
hold of anything. They had no
strength to achieve or do anything
profitable for the kingdom of God.
They, the church, had no strength!
When this subtle, strategic power of
drowsiness and laziness gets a
foothold in a church it will place a
halt on all Godly kingdom progress
and growth. For the church of
Laodicea to overcome and resist the
deadly venom of this abnormal spirit
of drowsiness they needed to repent
for not praying. The
sluggishness and indolence of the
church of Laodicea was robbing the
city of Laodicea from experiencing a
move of God. The church had
the opportunity to bring the
manifested glory of God to their
city in Asia, but instead they
became sluggish in their own
self-satisfaction. This same
dangerous spirit wants to rise up
against the church today (the lack
of praying), but all will not
surrender to the neglect of
prayerful combat and prayerful
communion with God. In the
night time vision that God gave me
on April 13, 2008 at 3:30 AM, I saw
the brightness of prayer groups
springing up around the world.
The brightness of their illumination
could not be penetrated by the
powers of darkness that was covering
the land. This power must
and will be overcome! “It is
the Father’s good pleasure to give
you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32)
It is given to the faith based
believer and in order to live the
kingdom life we must overcome the
danger of neglecting to give
ourselves to prayer and the
Word.
If there is a kingdom then there is
a dominion, a domain, and there is a
throne, “a seat of authority,” a
place of ruling. He said of those
who overcome this spirit of lethargy
and lukewarmness, this place of
self-satisfaction, “I will grant
(give) to sit with me in my throne
(seat of authority)” The real
overcomer walks in a place of divine
authority! It is the real
intercessors who press forward and
pay the price that will bring to
birth the promise in Numbers
14:21- “But as truly as I live, all
the earth shall be filled with the
glory of the Lord.” As you
are reading this letter, God is
calling a remnant from the four
corners of the earth to become more
committed to a life of intercessory
prayer. Will you make the same
commitment? AS WE OVERCOME
THE NEGLECT OF REAL INTERCESSORY
PRAYER, LET’S TAKE THE KINGDOM!
Be encouraged in the Lord,
dear friends, and in the power of
His might. We are so glad to
be a part of this Prayer Army with
you! Much Love,
Bro. Gene & Sis. Lorene Wiseman
